Thank you to 3Elements Literary Review for publishing my poem “Accordion Lesson” in issue 18. The Des Moines-based journal is unique in that every single written piece must include the same three words (the 3 elements), and each visual piece must portray at least one of the three elements. This season’s words were fuse, accordion, and scrape. With a daughter who plays the accordion, this was an especially happy issue in which to be published. If you are interested in submitting to 3Elements Literary Review, issue 19’s words are jazz, cradle, and recluse (submit).
